Stick a straw in it.
Apparently Tropicana has decided against its bland package redesign and opted to revert back to the design we all know and trust when we reach for the OJ. Good call I say, the old design is very recognizable and the new one looks like some kind of pharmaceutical supplement. If we’re lucky, Pepsi will ditch the rest of it’s ’09 overhauls as they’ve all been so well received.

Well Pepsi is releasing that Pepsi throwback this year with the real cane sugar and the old school scripty logo (pre blue/red globe). This is after a few years of consumers saying “we hate high fructose corn syrup”, so maybe their just starting to listen to the consumers more.
Although I’ll admit the pepsi “fat man” logo is starting to grow on me.

The new Pepsi work is better than the last generation, with the text overlapping the icon and the glows etc. It’s not Coke though… My whole point is that a brand redesign is best served by being subtle…or else you throw any brand equity you have out the window, like Tropicana almost did.
