Prairie Guerilla: Big Rock

bigrockThey’ve been around for a while now, but I have to say these Big Rock hay bale beer cans are one of the best local examples of guerilla marketing I’ve seen. Driving down the Trans Canada, you’ve got these bales all over that are roughly the shape of a big beer can, let’s cover them with vinyl printed to look like a giant beer can. Brilliant (and cheap) advertising that thinks outside the box. I’d love to see more of this kind of thing around, but I guess that’s partially up to local creatives, like me – but also up to clients to open their minds to guerilla marketing ideas, which can be executed relatively cheaply. Sometimes things like this just look so obvious in hindsight. Makes me thirsty just thinking about it. Cheers!
